In my practice I welcome individuals 6 years and up, and I work with the general population as well as select clients with neurodivergence and developmental disabilities.  Many of my clients come in when life challenges them to seek personal growth and healing and support in dealing with presenting issues such as loss, anxiety, or depression.  I am particularly passionate about promoting healing through a whole-person approach and incorporating many holistic techniques such as mindfulness in my counseling practice.

I have been trained in person-centered therapy, which developed from the belief that each person has the capacity to heal themselves with the appropriate support and skills.  In addition, I utilize components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Narrative therapy, which both encourage individuals to explore how their inner story impacts their experience of living.  Additional trainings include mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, grief, suicide prevention, parenting strategies, and neurodivergence, and I utilize many of these techniques in my treatment.  I am also Brainspotting trained and many clients report this is a gentle and effective way to explore their inner world.  In the session, I will focus on client-centered goals and use techniques intended to improve the quality of living according to what is essential to each individual.

My style is empathic and nurturing.  I am dedicated to developing a relationship that is supportive and growth-oriented.  I respect the individual experiences and worldviews that have impacted each client, and I feel these aspects should be incorporated into the healing relationship.  Aspects such as family, personal history, career, spirituality, and physical health impact mental and emotional wellness and are essential elements in the healing experience when working with clients.
