Welcome to my therapy practice!
I hold over 20 years of experience in the counseling arts, and I specialize in supporting people with PTSD, chronic disabilities, anxiety, depression, adjustment and phases of life challenges, substance use disorder, recovery coaching, ADHD, ADD, neurodivergent spectrum, anger management, bipolar disorders, schizoaffective and psychosis experiences. I am well-versed in working with people in LGBTQIA+, Veterans, Women’s issues, families, teenagers, couples, blended families, and people with medically vulnerable experiences. I also work with folks exploring consensual non-monogamy and developing healthy, loving intimacy in their relationships.
I am a person with multiple health conditions, including MS (Multiple Sclerosis), and I am hearing impaired. I was born a premie at 26 weeks, and I am no stranger to navigating the complicated health system. I speak nationally at events to support various causes, including the MS Society and substance use disorder recovery conventions. I support therapeutic recovery communities and am an activist for the unhoused community and the LGBTQIA+ community.
My approach:
I utilize multimodal evidence-based practices with a client-centered, strength-based approach with flexibility and care. I believe in the community approach and joining your care team as a collaborative and supportive person to help you reach your wellness and life goals. I am warm, empathetic, and engaging. I do my best to help you feel welcome and comfortable during your session.
